ABOUT ME
Trauma-Informed Therapy for Adults in Florida
Therapy works best when it feels collaborative and human. My role isn’t to “fix” you but support you to:
make sense of what you’ve been carrying
recognize patterns with compassion
build steadier ways of relating to yourself and others
I often work with adults who are self-aware and high-functioning, yet still feel anxious, emotionally drained, or stuck in repeating patterns that don’t shift with insight alone.
I think about therapy as emotional buoyancy: we go deep to unravel what you’re carrying, but we always return to the surface to breathe.
We build from your strengths while gently exploring patterns that may be interfering with your relationships and your connection to yourself.
Therapy is collaborative. I’ll make sure you feel safe and prepared as we work through vulnerable things together, at a pace that feels right for you.

How I Work
My work is trauma and attachment-informed, which means we look with care at how early relationships and experiences have influenced how you feel, relate, and move through the world today. This often includes tending to younger parts of you that still carry unmet needs, emotions, or protective roles.
I draw from evidence-based therapies including:
-
supports a space where you feel heard and understood, allowing therapy to unfold at a pace that feels safe and supportive.
-
helps the brain and nervous system process distressing or overwhelming experiences so they feel less intense or intrusive over time.
-
helps build practical tools for managing anxiety, regulating emotions, tolerating distress, and communicating more clearly.
-
helps you understand through a gentle, parts-based approach different aspects of yourself with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment.
We’ll talk together about what feels most supportive for your needs.
Why Alcove
Alcoves are formed when years of weather slowly shape something as strong as rock, creating a small nook of shelter. In a lot of ways, we’re shaped like that too: by what we’ve lived through. For some people, that shaping has been lifelong. For others, more recent.
Whatever your weather, my hope for Alcove Counseling is that this becomes a small place of rest and healing (even in the middle of grief, pain, or uncertainty).
